Meat Week 2014 is 25% done - which means there's still 75% left!!! Tonight we dined on some truly amazing Bludso's BBQ. Hope to see everyone at Texas Best for Day 3!
A quick word of warning: if you're planning to attend all eight days of Meat Week, beware of the dreaded Day 3 Overindulgence. Also known as Pork Pride Syndrome (PPS), it's commonly found in Meat Week attendees who feel fine (even great!) after two days of delicious BBQ goodness. This is a trick your body is playing on you. Many hopeful 8-night attendees have fallen victim to PPS, stuffing themselves so full on Day 3 that they're out of commission for days, sometimes weeks, with the worst kind of itis there is. So if you're in it for the long haul, think twice before you order that second rack of ribs!
But if you can only come for one night, disregard what I just said and go HOG WILD!!!!!!!1111BBQ

Meat Week Day 1 is in the books and the meat from day 1 is probably somewhere in your large intestine. We enjoyed seeing everyone who pigged out with us today! Just a reminder - tomorrow's restaurant is CASH ONLY!! They won't be able to split our checks. So bring enough to cover food and tip so you don't leave your cap'ns adrift! See everyone tomorrow!

Ahoy, Meat Weekers! Meat Week's less than a week away, and I'm super excited to be co-captaining with Dan this year. With Chris and Erni gone on their cross country voyage to other Meatropoli, we'll be doing our best to carry on the tradition of smokey meats, savory sauces, and heart clogging sides.
